Nigeria: Several students and staff missing after attack on school

– – Several students are reported missing in the north-central Nigerian town of Kagara in Niger state after gunmen stormed a boys boarding secondary school. The incident which happened in the early hours of Wednesday resulted in the abduction of a yet to be known number of students. Ghana: High School closed down over ghost scare

A high school in Ghana’s Upper East Region has been closed down after some students reportedly saw a ghost on campus. Over twenty female students of the Fumbisi Senior High School reportedly collapsed after seeing the said ghost. One student fell from the second floor of the girl’s dormitory after she allegedly saw the frightening creature. She has since lost her sight despite being rushed to a health centre for treatment. Kenyan school closed over outbreak of strange disease

A girls high school in Kenya, the Starehe Girls Centre has been closed following the outbreak of what health officials say is a mysterious disease. The unknown disease has left 52 students isolated, forcing its closure on Thursday. Education officials say the school would however be-open on Monday, October 7.
