– – Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga is the first female to officiate at the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament. No Tune up games for Malawi Flames in readiness for Mali

AFCON CupBLANTYRE (EltasZone) – – Lack of adequate funding and time has forced the Flames not to have a tune-up match ahead of their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying match against Mali, Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has disclosed. 

Malawi start their qualifier campaign on September 6 away to Mali and face Ethiopia a week later at Kamuzu stadium. This means Flames will not also have time to arrange any friendly matches before the Ethiopia game.

Zambia AFCON Current ChampionsThe Confederation of African Football staged the 29th Edition of the Africa Cup of Nations Preliminary Draw at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa for the 30 teams to play the final qualification rounds of The Orange AFCON to be hosted in a South Africa from 19th January to 10 th February 2013. The draw got off to a good start with all keen to see how the pairings would come out from the seeded teams and unseeded sides as fifteen nations battle it out for a spot in the final 16.
