Ghana: Court dismisses petition challenging re-election of Akufo-Addo

– – Ghana’s Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed by Ghana’s former President, John Mahama challenging the re-election of incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo. Ghana foils ‘attempted coup’, suspects arrested

Ghana’s government has said security agencies have been able to foil an attempt to topple the presidency. It said an operation by security agencies led to the discovery of what is believed to be a weapons manufacturing factory.
