– – Over 300 schoolgirls have been abducted by gunmen in the Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State in Nigeria. Benin probes abduction of 9 persons by pirates

Benin officials have launched a probe into the abduction of nine people from a Norwegian-flagged boat off its coast. The port of Cotonou has confirmed the said abduction carried out by some pirates. Police in Nigeria on Sunday confirmed the release of the abducted mother of former Nigerian footballer and coach Samson Siasia.
