Ugandan artiste, Cindy Sanyu has shot back at Nigerian Artistes who crucified her for christening fellow singer Omah Lay, an idiot.

The singer has vowed that she will not apologise for attacking Omah Lay, because she was only being open minded.

Cindy described Omah Lay as an idiot for posting about his sold out concert on social media while local artists are starving amid the COVID-19 lockdown.

Nigerian artistes in reiteration labelled Cindy an upcoming Ugandan artiste who is very local with poor music that will never cross Ugandan borders.

Cindy while defending herself however insisted that she will never apologize to any person for her random thought.

“Nobody has the right to come to my country and encourage the spread of COVID19 no matter who you think you are. People are dying everyday and if you have any respect for human life you will stay home or sanitize and wear a mask in a crowded place. May all your curses and evil spells return to you in Jesus,” Cindy ranted.

The two Nigerian fast-rising singers, Omah Lay and Tems were arrested alongside four other Ugandans over their involvement in an unlwaful concert that was held on Saturday night in Ddungu Resort in Munyonyo, Kampala City.

Both singers were on Monday charged to court and remanded for flouting the guidelines put in place by the Ugandan government towards curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This stirred outrage on social media platforms with many Nigerians, including celebrities calling for the singers’ immediate release.

Cindy, who seemed to be in support of Omah Lay and Tems’ detention, put out a video wherein she lamented how the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown measures in Uganda had made life unbearable for musicians
