Malawi’s Joyce Banda government hikes fuel prices

BLANTYRE(AGV)--Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has adjusted upwards fuel prices effective February 6, 2014.   The upward adjustment was announced on Wednesday by MERA. Petrol will now be selling at 839 kwacha from 760 kwacha, Diesel will be selling at K853.40 up from K770 per litre, this represents 10.39 percent and 10.80 percent respectively.
