Togo gets first ever female Prime Minister

– – Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbé on Monday appointed the country’s first ever female prime minister. Victoire Tomegah Dogbé now succeeds Komi Sélom Klassou who had led the government since 2015. Ghana: One killed as soldiers raid homes over secessionists attack

170 suspected terrorists arrested at Ghana-Togo border

Over 170 suspected criminals and terrorists have been arrested in a swoop near the Ghana -Togo border. The joint operation named Koudanlgou III was simultaneously carried along the borders of Ghana and Togo and selected areas within their national territories. Togo’s new law that clamps down on protests

Togo lawmakers have passed a new law that restricts demonstrations, in an attempt to clamp down on opposition rallies. Opposition parties have been agitating over the state of affairs in Togo, demanding the exit of current President Faure Gnassingbe.
