Ghana: Renewed tension over latest closure of Nigerian-owned shops

– – Some Nigerian traders in Ghana are agitating over the closure of their shops by their Ghanaian counterparts. Several shops in Abbosey Okai and Tip Toe land in Accra and Koforidua in the Eastern Region have been locked up by the Ghanaian traders. Ghana: Local traders lock up shops of foreigners

Local traders in Ghana’s second largest city of Kumasi on Wednesday locked up shops belonging to foreigners in some commercial hubs. The closure took place in areas like Alarbar, Adhye and Kejetia with Nigerian traders bearing the most brunt.
