Ivorian political leaders make peace after electoral violence

– – Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, and his main rival, Henri Konan Bédié have smoked the peace pipe following weeks of post elections violence. The two men have announced plans for further engagement after meeting in the commercial capital Abidjan. Ivory Coast: Ouattara’s two main presidential rivals boycott poll

– – The two main challengers to Ivory Coast’s President Alassana Ouattara in this month’s presidential election have said they are boycotting the poll. Former president, Henri Konan Bédié, and the former prime minister, Pascal Affi N’Guessan, made the declaration on Thursday.
