THE 15TH Summit of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Heads of State and Government officially opened here on October 14 with leaders in the regional economic block saluting President Sata on his historic victory in Zambia’s September 20 general elections.
In his welcome address to the delegates, who gathered at the new State House, Malawian President Bingu wa Mutharika said the COMESA Authority of Heads of State and Government has warmly welcomed President Sata into its fraternity as it works towards implementing measures aimed at fighting poverty in the member states.
