Africa is facing “intolerable injustice,” the United Nations secretary general told COP 29 attendees on Tuesday (Nov. 12). According to the World Meteorological Organization, African countries are losing 2-5% of GDP and many are spending up to 9% of their budgets for climate adaptation policies.
