Watch Gyakie’s Performance At The Africa Day Concert

Ghanaian female Afrobeats singer Gyakie pulled up an awesome performance at the just ended Africa Day concert.

The Africa Day concert was organized by MTV Base Africa in Nigeria and it was aimed at celebrating the African continent in a grand style during music by inviting on stage, young and talented African musicians across the length and breath of the continent.

It was held on May 25th (today) as Africans around the world use this day to celebrate their culture as Africans and the continent as a whole. It was hosted by top Hollywood actor, disc jockey and rapper Idris Elba and was telecast live via the MTV Base Africa322 YouTube channel across the continent and the whole world.

The event saw some awesome performers from top musicians in Africa like Bahati, Bella Shmurda, Blaq Diamond, Teni, Suspect 95, Omah Lay, Gyakie, Focalistic, Elaine and Zuchu. Some guest appearance also includes Caspper Nyovest, Angelique Kidjo, Mark Angel, Mr P, Dr Bone, Ms Red, CKay, Jay Rox, Will Packer, Mohamed Ramadan etc.

Gyakie was introduced on stage by the legendary Angelique Kidjo who described the young Ghanaian Afrobeats singer as a star the African continent and the whole world should watch out for in the coming years.

She said Gyakie is capable of carrying the African continent on her shoulders looking at what her hit song ‘Forever’ is doing in the African music scene and the world as a whole.

Gyakie performed the ‘Forever’ some in what seems to be a well coordinated choreography and a well managed stage.

After the performance, Gyakie took to Twitter to revealed how excited she was to be introduced by Angelique Kidjo and the nice words she said about her.
