Budding gospel singer and songwriter, Omolola Owolabi, better known as Lollaby, has released her sophomore track and according to her, it is a song about the sweetness of life and giving gratitude to God.
In a chat with Saturday Beats she said, Oyindun (Sweetness) is my second single and I am excited about it. It is a follow-up to my debut ‘Gbonmire, which has been enjoying massive airplay since its release on April 1, 2021. It is basically a song about the sweetness of life with a message about gratitude and enjoying life to the fullest. I wrote and composed the song, while it was produced by Dr Jay. I know that life could be tough and at a time like this when the economy is not doing so well, it is very important to give thanks to God at every opportunity one gets. It’s not until one has everything that one should remember to show gratitude to the Almighty. As a matter of fact, when one praises God even in tough times, God will be moved to come to one’s aid. At a time like this, people need songs that would lift their spirits and minister to them.”
Lollaby, who started her music career at the age of 18 when she joined the teen’s choir at her church, went on to study Music at the University of Ibadan, which according to her has contributed in no small measure to the success of her music career.
The Chief Executive Officer of Morakempire Music Limited added, “While in the university, I was trained in the fundamentals and technical aspects of music. And that is helping in my career because it made me understand and appreciate music in its true form. Though making music is a talent for many people, it is also good to study the fundamentals of the craft.”
