A Nigerian artiste identified as Peter Udoakang has made a portrait of President Donald Trump in agbada, a flowing robe worn by Yoruba men.

The portrait of the United States president and candidate of the Republican Party in the presidential election was hung on a wall in a posh eatery in Lagos state, Reuters reports.

Legit.ng notes that the 23-year-old artist said he painted President Trump to bring him closer to Nigerians.

President Trump has a lot of supporters in Nigeria and some of them have made their views known on why they are supporting the 74-year-old politician.

Udoakang said President Trump’s “radical” approach to governing appealed to Nigerians, who are used to working hard in a tough economy to survive.

Apart from Udoakang who spoke highly of the US president, a driver identified as Michael Onyeonoro said Nigeria needs a leader like President Trump.

He said:

“If we have a person like Trump…Nigeria will be a better place to stay. There will be no need of going outside the country.”
