My career has cost me sleepless nights –Nigerian singer

A budding singer, Sunday Badaiki, aka Jays Million, has said that his quest to have a successful music career has cost him many sleepless nights.

Asked to mention the challenges he faces and the sacrifices he has made for the sake of his career, Million told Saturday Beats, “My biggest challenge is getting recognition and also for people to accept my sound.

“There are many music talents in Nigeria, but I hope to make my mark and capture the heart of many fans and music lovers.

“As regards sacrifices, that would be sleepless nights of me thinking and praying for better days in my career.”

The singer, who is currently promoting his debut project titled, ‘The Journey’,  noted that though he was not working on any new project at the moment, he had been spending a lot of time in the studio.

“However, I am glad that fans are enjoying my song titled, ‘Pending’. I always feel so good whenever I see people singing itwith passion.”

Asked to describe his sound, the singer said, “I do a combination of afrobeat, afro-pop and afro fusion.”

On which guilty pleasure he indulges in between wine, weed and women, the singer said, “I am just a cool guy. I hardly do any of those three things.”
