While it is true that the show before a Champions League final is a far cry from a Super Bowl half-time show, the artists performing are in the eyes of millions of people around the world.
For this year, UEFA announced Brazilian pop singer Anitta, who will perform alongside Nigeria’s Burna Boy before the title match between Manchester City and Inter which takes place on Saturday June 10 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.
“I’m happy to be performing at the UEFA Champions League final kick-off show and I can’t wait to co-star in the show with Burna Boy. We are going to bring an unmissable show to the fans in the stadium and around the world,” Anitta said via the European football body’s website.
This will be the seventh time that UEFA has staged a pre-match music show before the Champions League title decider.
