Brazilian singer Anitta will provide the entertainment for the Champions League final

While it is true that the show before a Champions League final is a far cry from a Super Bowl half-time show, the artists performing are in the eyes of millions of people around the world.

For this year, UEFA announced Brazilian pop singer Anitta, who will perform alongside Nigeria’s Burna Boy before the title match between Manchester City and Inter which takes place on Saturday June 10 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

“I’m happy to be performing at the UEFA Champions League final kick-off show and I can’t wait to co-star in the show with Burna Boy. We are going to bring an unmissable show to the fans in the stadium and around the world,” Anitta said via the European football body’s website.

This will be the seventh time that UEFA has staged a pre-match music show before the Champions League title decider.

Who is Anitta?

The world-famous pop star Anitta released her fifth studio album “Versions of Me” in 2022, for which she received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

Larissa de Macedo Machado is a 29-year-old Brazilian television presenter. In 2013 she released her debut album, which featured the single “Meiga e Abusada”, also the name of the album, and reached number one in Brazil.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, she participated in the opening of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the year in which she made her debut as a television presenter.

In 2016 she won the award for best Brazilian artist at the MTV Europa Music Awards, and her musical style is generally pop, but also incorporates R&B, Carioca funk and Latin pop, dance pop, electropop, reggae and reggaeton.
