Women, children among those killed in Libyan airstrikes

Women and children dominate the death toll from the latest air strikes that took place in southern Libya. Libyan officials say at least 16 people were killed in two air attacks within 72 hours with government blaming forces loyal to military commander Khalifa Haftar. Libya: Air strike on Murzuq kills more than 40

Over 40 people have been killed following an air strike on the southern Libyan town of Murzuq. Reuters reported that the Eastern Libyan forces loyal to Khalifa Haftar confirmed a strike late on Sunday. The Eastern Libyan forces however denied targeting any civilians. Last month five doctors were also killed in a similar air strike on a hospital in the southern outskirts of Libya’s capital Tripoli.
