WorldRemit launches entrepreneurship programme in Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya
WorldRemit has announced the launch of its WorldRemit Entrepreneurs Programme in Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. The programme will run from November to end-January and focus on empowering 50 entrepreneurs from each of the four countries with business booster packs and a digital business training course. The training module was developed and will be delivered in partnership with The Nest, a pan-African tech incubation hub.
WorldRemit has signed Nigerian music star Patoranking as ambassador for the programme. Patoraking will help build awareness for the programme and highlight how WorldRemit creates opportunities for Africans in entrepreneurship.
To participate, WorldRemit customers from around the world are encouraged to send a minimum of GBP 50 (or its equivalent value in their local currency) to Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya or Zimbabwe between 2 November and 31 December. Winners will be chosen through a draw.
