Tunisia: Over 600 people arrested as protesters clash with police

Police in Tunisia have arrested more than 600 people as violent protesters returned to the streets for the fourth consecutive night.
On Monday, thousands of the protesters gathered in the centre of the capital, Tunis, throwing stones and petrol bombs at police.
The police fired tear gas and water cannon to quell the violent protests.
Outside Tunis, clashes were also reported on Monday in the cities of Kasserine, Gafsa, Sousse and Monastir.
The protesters are peeved over worsening economic conditions with a third of its young people being unemployed.

The latest unrest coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Tunisian revolution ushered in democracy and triggered the Arab Spring revolts.
Analysts are however sceptical that the latest unrests can create more jobs and opportunities.
A spokesman for the interior ministry said the majority of those arrested since the protests began on Friday were minors who had been detained over acts of vandalism and looting.
Khaled Hayouni said two policemen had been injured.
