The African choir hoping to win America’s Got Talent
The South African Ndlovu Youth Choir has made its final performance on America’s Got Talent in the finale of the competition.
The choir made up of young singers backed by South Africa is hoping to make history to be voted winners of the TV talent show.
The results of the voting process will be announced on Thursday.
For their final performance the choir sang their own rendition of Africa – a hit for US band Toto in the early 1980s.
“Tonight we were proud young ambassadors of a united Africa,” the choir tweeted.
“Africa has the world’s youngest population, and our hope is that our performance reflected the talent, opportunity and potential of millions of young people. One nation, one continent.”

The Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa’s Limpopo province has their unique African cultural touch to their performances.
The South African choir was set up according to its founders to give hope to young people.
Some of the choir members have lost their parents and come from poor backgrounds. That is however not stopping them from showcasing their talent on a global stage.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir is also led by GRAMMY-winning flutist Wouter Kellerman. The choir has done many renditions of popular songs in the past before this competition.
