Botswana’s Masisi sworn in for second term after poll victory

Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi on Friday was sworn in for a second five-year term after his electoral victory last month. Masisi’s Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) won 67% of parliamentary seats in the October election. The election was seen as a major test for the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) which has been in power for the past five decades.
