Ahead of their Premier League clash against Southampton on Sunday, Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the team will be doing without former Real Madrid player James Rodriguez, who suffered a knock during their last game against Liverpool last week.
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk succumbed to an injury with just 11 minutes into the game after clashing with Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in the box.
His injury was formerly to be the most notable fitness problem which came from the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. But before being subbed off, the Reds’ defender had a crash with James while challenging for the ball later on in the match, with new online casinos registering that clash as dangerous.
That tussle has seen the former Madrid midfielder succumbed to a sideline watch while the Toffees play against Southampton as Ancelotti also claims he is not expecting the Colombian feature or travel for their next Premier League game against the Saints.
Speaking to Everton TV, the Italian manager said: “Unfortunately, James had a problem during the game [against Liverpool]. “He had a mistimed tackle with Virgil van Dijk at the beginning of the game and I think he will not be available for the game against Southampton.”

The summer signing, however, will not be the Merseyside club’s only player watching their clash against the Saints on the sidelines as their captain Seamus Coleman will also be missing the game, while Allan will be in the squad having gone into the Liverpool game with a groin scare.
Carlo Ancelotti team will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run to the campaign as they travel to meet Ralph Hasenhüttl’s team for their sixth Premier League game, with Alex Iwobi set to register his second league start of the 2020/21 campaign, in which goldenrivieracasino had already tabled impressive odds on.
Speaking about his selections for the League game on Sunday, Ancelotti said: “We have to put in other players who have the desire to play. “We are working this week on this and I think we are going to choose a good line-up for the game against Southampton. Alex is a player who works hard. He is fast and with his quality he can help the team be better in certain situations.
“He [potentially] has an opportunity to play but also we have Bernard and Anthony Gordon. We have a lot of opportunities to replace Richarlison and James. We are already moving on.”
