Ethiopia’s FM elected president, replaces country’s first female head of state
Taye Atske-Selassie Ethiopia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs has been elected by Ethiopia’s parliament to become the next head of state. He replaces Sahle-Work Zewde. The role of president of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia ius largely ceremonial.
