ECOWAS court rejects Nigerien request to lift coup sanctions
The court didn’t rule on the request per say. It ruled that the junta is unconstitutional and therefore lacks the authority to make such a request.
The plaintiff argued sanctions were causing severe hardship for Nigeriens, including by curtailing supplies of food and medicine.
