Google has revealed its year in search 2020 data to the public. The world’s number 1 search engine dissected the data of search queries in Nigeria.
In the year 2020, Google revealed that Davido’s song ‘Fem’ is the most search song in Nigeria on its search engine. The tune was released in September to a warm reception and was very vital during the end Sars Protest that rocked Nigeria in October.
‘Fem’ is the lead single off Davido’s third studio album ‘A Better Time’.
The second most searched song in Nigeria was the smash hit ‘Duduke’ by Simi. Simi used the song to officially announce her pregancy to fans.
Other songs that topped Google search in 2020 were Rema’s ‘Ginger Me’ and ‘Woman’, Burna Boy’s ‘Wonderful’, Davido’s ‘Holy Ground’, Mayorkun’s ‘Betty Butter’ etc.
