Synthetic wigs, weaves and extensions given new life in Kenya
Synthetic wigs, weaves and extensions are made of non-decomposable plastic and are therefore cheaper than extensions and wigs made with human hair. At Alisam Products Development and Design’s workshop in Kenya, women sort, wash and knit the collected hair into threads before weaving them into mats.
