Wilderness Dawning is a privately-owned safari company based in Maun, Botswana and Johannesburg, South Africa. We have been operating since 1997 and have grown to become one of the top local tour operators.
Wilderness Dawning is owned and operated in Maun by Nic and Samantha Gachter, in partnership with one of Southern Africa’s leading safari guides, Craig Nesbitt. All have been involved in the safari business since the 1980′s, both as guides and lodge management.
Vehicle description
Robust 4WD vehicles are essential for travel in Botswana due to the variable conditions of the tracks within protected areas. Wilderness Dawning operates specially-modified Toyota Landcruisers that accommodate either 9 or 12 guests.
