Open days are one way for the African Development Bank to mainstream engagement with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the country office level. Open days provide a forum for information sharing about the Bank’s programs and projects, and to explore avenues of collaboration with civil society to achieve sustainable impacts among beneficiary communities.
Furthermore, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the African Development Bank is exploring new ways cooperate closely with all relevant stakeholders, most importantly grassroot organisations and civil society, for an effective and inclusive response to the ongoing crisis.
South African civil society organizations are invited to join the open day to discuss the African Development Bank’s country strategy and portfolio and to strengthen future collaboration and address existing development challenges.
