Singer D’banj acquires customized Roll Royce Wraith

Nigeria music star Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known by his stage name D’banj, has reportedly acquired a Rolls Royce Wraith. This is according to local media.

Customized to accommodate the Oliver Twist hitmaker’s taste, the singer, who is billed as one of the richest stars in the continent with an estimated net worth of $15 million, is said to have forked out over $400,000 for the sportiest of Rolls.

The ride is the latest addition to his exotic collection. To mark his 39th birthday, the purchased a Rolls Royce Phantom at approximately Sh47.5m – the most expensive car he owned at the time. After signing an endorsement deal with SLOT, he acquired a 2015 Porsche Carrera for Sh9.5M. He did not stop there. Months later, he splashed Sh19.5m on a Ferrari F430.

While he is a successful entertainer, the bankable singer who boasts a Sh2.7b mansion in Lekki, Lagos is an entrepreneur with enviable endorsements deals to his name, some of which are said to have contributed a lot to his wealth. They include his multi-million 2013 deal with Globacom, 2014  deal with Heritage Bank, a nod by Beats by Dre that same year as well as his mouthwatering deal with Ciroc Nigeria in 2015.

Aside from the endorsement deals, the self-styled Koko master is United Nations Youth Ambassador for Peace and serves as a ONE AFRICA campaign ambassador wherein he released Cocoa Na Chocolate in support of agricultural investments. The song featured 18 other African artists and won Best African Collaboration award at the 2014 All Africa Music Awards.

In 2015, he was given credit by the World Bank Chief, Jim Yong Kim, for using his music power, platform, and celebrity status to bringing attention to critical issues in Africa with a special focus on agricultural development and poverty alleviation.
