Nigerians have reacted to the congratulatory message written by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
Naija News had earlier reported that Osinbajo sent a congratulatory message to Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the ruling party.
The vice president said his former principal has shown passion, courage, patriotism and determination in the cause of nation-building for many decades.
Osinbajo also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Working Committee (NWC) and party delegates for a successful convention and presidential primary.
According to Osinbajo, Tinubu’s sterling contributions to Nigeria’s democracy and its progress made him stand out in the election.
The vice president called on all members of the party to unite behind Tinubu to ensure the victory of the party in the 2023 general election.
Following the development, some netizens have applauded Osinbajo for congratulating his former principal on his victory in the APC Presidential primaries.
While others who are Tinubu’s supporters mocked the vice president for taking so long to greet the former Lags governor.
