Morocco launches e-visa to boost tourism sector

Morocco has now launched its e-Visa system as it seeks to boost its tourism sector in a post-Covid-19 pandemic era.

This is seen as an exciting news for international travelers who are seeking to visit the North African country.

Effective July 10, the new eVisa is expected to make it easier for millions of travelers to visit Morocco.

According to Moroccan officials 1.5 million tourists visited Morocco in the first 4 months of 2022.

Tourism revenues in Morocco increased by 123% over the last year and the country wants to do more to make much gains.

The e-Visa should therefore boost Morocco’s tourism sector as it recovers from the effects of COVID-19.

What is the Morocco e-Visa?

The Morocco visa is an electronic travel permit which allows you to travel to the country for tourism purposes.

The online visa for Morocco is 100% electronic, replacing traditional paper visa labels. You can show the approved e-Visa on a digital device, such as a phone or tablet, or a paper copy.
