Prolific South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest, has declared that his eight month old son, Khotso, has made history in the South African music scene.
The heavyweight rapper took to his social media yesterday 4th of July 2021 to make it known that his youngest son is the youngest South African Artist of all time, considering the fact that the eight month old Khotso made an appearance on his father’s latest album ‘Sweet and Short 2.0‘. He wrote:
The renowned SA artiste is reputed to be the first South African Hip Hop Artiste to fill up the Pro Ticket Dome in South Africa. The Dome has a capacity 20,000 seats. And he did just that in 2015 without the help of an International act.
Cassper Nyovest proved audacious when he announced he intended to fill up Orlando Stadium in 2016. Orlando Stadium is twice the size of the Dome and can take 40,000 people. Even though he fell 3,000 people short, his show was still a success. He was still the first rapper to perform a show that size in South Africa, which put him years ahead of every one of his counterparts.
As if that was not enough, he dared to push for more numbers in concerts and it was no surprise in 2017 when he further dwarfed fellow musicians when 68,000 fans showed up to his third iteration of the Fill Up series of concerts, Fill Up FNB Stadium. His initial aim was to have 75,000 people attending at the venue which has a 90,000 capacity.
So he fell 7,000 people short, but who cares?
He only comes third after U2 and One Direction in terms of numbers in the same venue. U2 filled up the stadium in 2011. One Direction had 131,615 people over two days in 2015.
Music Icons like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park and more, all attracted less people than Cassper Nyovest.
What do you think? Is Cassper pushing Khutso to become as Audacious? Only time will tell
