I groom young artistes to help them reach their potential –Stanley Obodoagwu

Showbiz entrepreneur, Stanley Obodoagwu, has said that he is grooming young talented music artistes not to tie them down to his record label, but to make them grow.

Speaking with SUNDAY SCOOP, the CEO of AkwaAmaka Live and Digital Studio said, “The best competition in the world is self-competition. I am not grooming young artistes to remain under my label because if they do, how will the industry grow? I believe that one day, they will leave to go establish their record labels and it will continue like that. In the future, we could even work together and collaborate on projects because I have invested in their growth. I am grooming them to reach their potential.

“With the launch of our studio, more creative talents will have an avenue to produce more good music and movies. We are doing this to invest in the Nigerian entertainment industry and contribute our own quota to the betterment of our nation. We hope they take advantage of this.”

Obodoagwu also talked about some of his new signees. He said, “the artistes comprise of four males: Bella Abidemi, a.k.a Bellamino; Akuma  Ikechukwu, a.k.a Da-Popz; Izuchukwu Velitus, a.k.a Mayor Onyenkwa; Aluche Chinecherem,  a.k.a Afhrolegacy, and a female, Praise Ayomide,  a.k.a Praise-Ayo. I signed these artistes for two reasons, firstly because of their humble beginnings and secondly because of their tough backgrounds.”
