The ministerial meeting held yesterday in Addis Ababa was presided; by Hailemariam, Desalegn, Deputy Prime Minister and Ethiopian Foreign Minister, and passed the executive framework for activating integration in the IGAD territory.
The meeting also passed a peace and security plan within the framework of IGAD to be presented to the presidential summit tomorrow.
The permanent delegate to IGAD – the Sudanese Ambassador to Djibouti – Hassan Eisa said that IGAD’s executive ministerial council assigned the dossier of coordinating and managing the economic and commercial affairs in the IGAD area, and assigned to Ethiopia the dossier of infrastructure. The Sudanese Delegate to IGAD said that the IGAD meeting highly regards the resumption of negotiations between Sudan and South Sudan.
