We have barely four days to draw the curtains to the end of 2020 which has been nothing short of chaotic.

The world was unpredictably plunged into pandemonium after the Covid-19 pandemic raised its ugly head and rather gloomily, there has been no cure yet as we match dejectedly to 2021.

A lot of popular figures also died this year (that’s not to say celebs never died in previous years) as the likes of Maradona, Kobe Bryant, Chadwick Boseman, and other local and international celebs reconciled with their ancestors.

1. Ada Ameh

The plus-sized actress lost her only daughter to the cold hands of death. Ada Ameh lost her only daughter, Aladi Godgifts Ameh on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, after an unsuccessful surgery in Abuja the capital city of Nigeria.

2. Temi Otedola

The billionaire’s daughter landed her first movie role in Citation, and her performance got media attention. Citation is a 2020 Nigerian film directed by Kunle Afolayan, written by Tunde Babalola, and starring Jimmy Jean-Louis, Temi Otedola, and Bukunmi Oluwashina.

3. D’banj

The ace singer had all the attention for the wrong reasons after a lady popped up to accuse him of sexual assault.  In a series of tweets, user ‘Aunt Seyitan’ (real name Seyitan Babatayo) accused Nigerian artist D’banj of sexually assaulting her in a Lagos hotel room in 2018. The woman described the event in detail two weeks ago, sparking a huge backlash against the singer.

4. Omay Lay and Tems

Omay Lay and Tems had a terrible experience in Uganda when they were arrested by the police in Kampala right after they held a concert on the grounds that they flouted Covid-19 protocols.

Ugandan authorities have communicated that the official charges levelled against Tems and Omah Lay are for “Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act.”

The artists’ recent arrests follows shortly after they performed at a sold-out music event this past Saturday. PREMIUM Times reports that two members of the artists’ respective entourages namely, Temilade Openyi and Muyiwa Awomiyi, were also arrested.

5. 9ice

The ‘Congo Aso’ hitmaker cheated on his wife after he had a fling with another woman and stupidly recorded it, the video of which went viral on social media. He later apologized to his wife and asked for forgiveness.
