Vivatech 2019 conference opens in Paris [Morning Call]
A three-day technology summit called VivaTech on thursday begun in Paris. With President Emmanuel Macron in attendance along with industry leaders such as Jack Ma from Alibaba, Mickey Mikitani from Rakuten, the European Commission’s Margrethe Vestager and Ginni Rometty from IBM, about 125 countries are represented, and 42% female speakers on stage – boosting the crowd to over 100,000 people.
And of course African innovators are represented. We take a look at some of them.
