Algeria: Ex-president’s brother jailed for 15 years

Said Bouteflika, the brother of Algeria’s former president, Abdelaziz Bouteflika has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was accused and put on trial for conspiring against the state and undermining the military. The trail lasted for two days. Said Bouteflika was regarded as the person behind the presidency of his brother, Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
