Former Gambian president Sir Dawda Jawara has been laid to rest after a state funeral at the National Assembly on Thursday. Former Gambian President Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara has been reported dead. Jawara passed away on Tuesday at the age of 95 after a short illness. He was born on March 16, 1924 in Barajally in macChatty to Almamy Jawara and Mama Fatty.
