Ahead of matches yet to come both European and domestic, Premier League giants Manchester City have been issued a blow to their team as their prolific midfielder Fernandinho will be facing the sidelines for up to six weeks having acquired a leg injury during their Champions League victory match against Porto on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old midfielder was subbed into the match at the 85th minute to calm the midfield for City after taking a 3-1 lead in the game, but things didn’t go as planned as the midfielder was subbed off in the stoppage time after getting injured even rivernilecasino felt this was too unpredictable.

City boss, Pep Guardiola took a little bit of time to confirm the “bad news” at the end of the match, speaking to the reporters he said: “Bad news, in the place he was injured [before]. He will be out for a long time. It’s happened.”

“Bad news, his leg will be, I think four to six weeks out, yes it is a big blow for us with these amount of games and no people there, but it is what it is.”

Ever since their shocking 5-2 defeat handed to them by Leicester City in the Premier League, Fernandinho had only started in the Carabao Cup match as they cruised through a 3-0 victory against Burnley, which he played as a center-back.

Due to the cramped up fixtures, Manchester City will be facing in the coming weeks, the 35-year-old midfielder role in Guardiola’s team became pivotal.

This crammed up Champions League schedules was created to make up for the time it took the European season to start its campaign, thus, the Citizens will be seen in action every midweek from now to the 9th of November, with an EFL Cup tie against League rivals Arsenal in December still yet to be fixed.

Guardiola’s team only takes a break during the international break in November.

Even if it’s just a four weeks football absence for the Brazil international, the midfielder could still miss up to six City matches and he happens to spend the whole six weeks he will be missing up to 10 games, which several best new online casinos have dropped odds on ahead.

After the club parted ways with Vincent Kompany last season, the former Shaktar Donetsk star was deployed into the City defense ever since. The arrivals of Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake have seen the Brazilian returned to his defensive midfield position so far this 2020/21 campaign.

With the addition of Fernandinho, Manchester City sidelines’ list continues to grow in numbers having seen Kevin De Bruyne, Benjamin Mendy, Aymeric Laporte, and new signing Nathan Ake injured earlier and is yet to return to the team.
