Saturday night she took part in the "Change for Children Now" dinner held at Benedict College in support of the marketplace school in Liberia.

The dinner is just one of several events held in celebration of the Investiture of Bishop David Daniels Junior, the newly elected president of global African Methodist Episcopal churches worldwide.

President Sirleaf says this fundraiser dinner will give some children the opportunity to be educated.

“I’ve just come from having some great meetings in Washington D.C to talk about the progress and challenges of Liberia. So the objective of this facility of this intervention is to build markets good markets. To go one step beyond to have school facilities within the markets where the young toddlers, can be able to go to school as their mothers carry out their trade,” says Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia.

A special concert will be held for President Sirleaf Monday night at the Columbia Metro Convention Center.
