Private practice lawyer and activist Ralph Kasambara was released a week after a second arrest on 21st February 2012. He was rearrested after the graft fighting body, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said they wanted to investigate how he got his earlier bail as the courts were under strike.

Prominent lawyer and activist Ralph Kasambara came out of Chichiri Prison walls on Wednesday February 15, 2012, after spending two nights in the hands of law enforcement and correctional authorities. He was nabbed by armed police on Monday after he reported some thugs who wanted to torch his house and office to police. There is no clear charge, but police said they were searching for weapons and other items from his house and office.
