Burna Boy Dedicates New Song To #EndSARS Victims
Nigeria singer, songwriter and rapper Burna Boy has released a new song dedicated to victims killed during peaceful anti-police brutality protests across the country.
The song titled 20-10-2020 sang in Pidgin focused around events that happened at the Lekki tollgate and a way of ensuring victims of the #EndSARS protest are not forgotten.
Proceeds made from the song will be used to support families of victims and people suffering affliction as a result of the Lekki shootings.
Burna Boy was one of the active voices during the #ENDSARS protest, donating billboards for the campaign and also setting up a fund for victims of police brutality.
20-10-2020 will not be forgotten in the history of Lagosians and Nigeria as it was a day the Nigeria Army allegedly shot at peaceful protesters at Lekki Tollgate during protest against police brutality.
