American music stars, Roddy Ricch and Doja Cat were recently celebrated for their achievements in year 2020 by Forbes. The talented artistes made the 30 under 30 Music Class of 2021.

According to Forbes, Roddy Ricch got $20m richer after his album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, topped charts. The singer also won a Grammy and his hit song, The Box, dominated TikTok and had over 1.2 billion views.

At just 22-years old, the music star is doing great things in his hometown in California by investing in real estate and teaching financial literacy through his foundation that he would soon launch.

25-year-old controversial singer, Doja Cat, was also an honouree of the Forbes 30 under 30 list.

She emerged as one of the biggest stars in the year 2020 mostly due to her massive hit, Say So. The song went viral on TikTok and has reportedly been used on the app in more than 18 million videos.

According to Forbes, Doja’s distinct blend of rap, pop and R&B made her one of the biggest stars of the year.

Others who made the list include Gibson Hazard, Olivia Rudensky, William Robillard-Cole, to name a few.

In other celebrity news, Legit.ng reported that American rapper, Cardi B, recently apologised to fans on social media after flouting COVID-19 suggestions during Thanksgiving.

Cardi originally tweeted, “12 kids and 25 adults over the holidays. It was lit !!”, which got her called out for being irresponsible after American citizens were advised not to travel or have large parties over the Thanksgiving holiday.

She later tweeted her apology saying she did not mean to offend. Her apology consequently got mixed reactions as some were in favour of her enjoying her family time and others found her actions potentially harmful.
